BROCKPORT, NY – A strong Saturday at the SUNY Brockport Multi & Invitational saw the University of Rochester men's program secure 17 top-3 finishes, nine All-Atlantic Regional qualifiers and have five NCAA top-50 marks on the Division III performance list.

Overall, the Yellowjackets finished with an athlete in the top-4 in all but three events contested on the day at SUNY Brockport's Special Events and Recreation Center.

Graduate student Mitch Lienert led the way with a win and runner-up mark, earning a pair of AARTFC qualifying times. Lienert captured first place in the 200 meters, running 21.98 seconds, the current #12 NCAA Division III time this season, while setting a new Rochester school record in the process. His time broke his own school record of 22.00 seconds set back in 2023.

Earlier in the day, Lienert was also regional qualifier in the 60 meters, crossing the finish in 7.01 seconds, placing second.

Two teammates finished right behind Lienert in both sprint races. P.J. London was second in the 200 meters in 22.45 seconds, while Ronan Marston finished third in the 60 meters, clocking in at 7.02 seconds. Both London and Marston hit the regional standards.

During the triple jump, first-year Austin Lansey and senior Sam Lorenzetti earned a 1-2 Rochester podium, with Lansey winning with a 14.17 meter distance. Lorenzetti wasn't far behind at 14.06 meters, with both qualifying for regionals. Lansey's mark also currently ranks #22 in Division, with Lorenzetti checking in at #31 on the performance list.

Senior Jordan Johnson notched another regional qualifying performance in the weight throw, securing a win with an 18.08 meter toss.

Day two of the heptathlon also wrapped up on Saturday, with senior Gabe Thyne and first-year Emmett Hansen ranking #25 and #40 on the NCAA Division III list currently.
