HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL – The University of Rochester golf team opened up its 2025-26 stroke play schedule on Sunday, competing in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Preview at the Mission Inn Resort.

The Yellowjackets opened the event with a team score of 301, ranking 17th of 24 teams in the field. Kenyon College shot a 6-under par round of 278 to lead the tournament, while UAA rival Emory sits second at 282 (2-under). Those two teams are the only teams under par in the team scoring.

Overall, the stacked field features 23 teams in the top-25 or among others receiving votes in the first in-season poll of the 2025-26 Division III season, including the top-16 teams in the country. Rochester checks in at #22.

Sophomore Alvin Su and first-year Anderson Palm both led the Yellowjackets on day one of the three-day tournament with scores of 2-over, 73. Both individuals carded three birdies in their rounds, and rank in a tie for 37th place in the overall individual golfer field.
