NEW ORLEANS, LA – The University of Rochester men's track and field program saw 12 individuals earn a total of 16 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Outdoor All-Region honors for their efforts this outdoor season, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday.
The top-eight individuals in each event from each region: East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West, on the year-end Athletic.net Descending Order Lists earn All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-eight relay teams.
Four Yellowjackets:
Barack Abdallah,
Emmett Hansen,
Aadit Jain and
Elijah VanHoover, took home a pair of All-Niagara Region honors. Abdallah and Jain both secured one of their All-Region accolades in the 4x100-meter relay, combining with
Evan Bryant and
William Stiska to rank sixth in the region with a school-record time of 41.84 seconds, set at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships (AARTFC).
Abdallah's other All-Region honor came in the 100 meters, where he ranks fourth with a time of 10.73 seconds, also set at the Outdoor AARTFC. While Jain's 1.96m mark in the high jump ranks fourth in the region and was set at the Liberty League Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Both of VanHoover's All-Region marks came in the hurdles, where the junior ranks sixth in the 400-meter hurdles and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles. VanHoover set both marks at the Liberty League Championships, clocking in at 15.06s in the 100mH and 54.18s in the 400mH.
Austin Skeete's All-Region honor came in the 1,500 meters, where he crossed the finish line in 3:49.39 at the All-Atlantic Region Championships, the third-best time in the region.
Hansen is one of Rochester's three decathletes that ranks inside the top eight in the region, along with
Ashton Tokarski and
Jack Maness. Both Hansen's 6,596-point score, which ranks second, and Maness' 5,770-point tally, which ranks seventh, came at the regional championships, while Tokarski set his mark of 6,069 points, good for fourth in the Niagara Region, at the conference championships.
Hansen is also in the top eight in the javelin toss, with his 53.97m throw from the Colonial Relays back in April good for the fourth-best throw in the region. Hansen is one of three 'Jackets to earn All-Region honors in the throwing events, with
Ethan Beer and
Alex Hermann also securing All-Niagara Region accolades in the shot put and discus, respectively.
Hermann's 45.70m discus toss, set at RIT's Bill Q Invitational, ranks fourth in the Niagara Region, while Beer's school-record, 15.75m shot put is the eighth-best throw in the region. Also in the field events,
Brant Nicholls ranks sixth in the pole vault with a height of 4.62m, set at the Colonial Relays, to earn USTFCCCA All-Region accolades.
Hansen will wrap up the outdoor season for the Yellowjackets at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in LaCrosse, WI, competing in the decathlon on Thursday, May 21, through Friday, May 22.
