Sam Leeman teamed up to reach the semifinals of the doubles competition at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championships on Sunday at Hobart College.

After winning two matches in Saturday's opening two rounds, Nunno and Leeman pulled a big upset, defeating the tournament's top seeded doubles team of Matt DeMichiel and Benedict Teoh of NYU in the quarterfinals by an 8-5 score.

The duo saw their tournament run come to an end in the semifinals though, dropping an 8-3 match to Danny Polk and Michael Feldman of Stevens Tech.

Also competing for Rochester on Sunday was singles player
Masaru Fujimaki. The UR sophomore won his opening two matches on Saturday as well, and drew against 2nd seeded singles player Nick Litsky of Vassar in the third round.

Litsky dominated the opening set, winning 6-0, but Fujimaki responded with a 6-2 win in the second set. In the deciding third set, Litsky would upend Fujimaki by a 6-3 score to advance to the quarterfinals.

In consolation matches also played on Sunday, UR's
Yifan Shen won three times, topping Merchant Marine's Jordan Kendall and Union's Max McGeown.

The ITA tournament ends Rochester's fall season.  UR's spring schedule picks up in mid-February.
