The University of Rochester men's tennis team got back to its winning ways on Saturday, defeating visiting Union College 9-0 at the Goergen Athletic Center.

UR moves to 4-4 with the victory, snapping a two match losing streak while the Dutchmen fall to 2-4 on the season.

The Yellowjackets had four double-winners on Saturday, led by
Masaru Fujimaki who won at both #1 singles and #1 doubles. Junior
Andrew Nunno along with freshman
Sahaj Somani and
Tanmay Thakkar each picked up multiple wins against Union as well.
Hartviet was on UR's #3 doubles team.

Fujimaki paired with Nunno for an 8-1 win at #1 doubles. The two then played the top-2 singles positions and won 6-4, 6-3 and 6-3, 6-1 respectively.

Somani and Thakkar were also doubles partners, winning 8-5 at the #2 spot. In singles, Somani was a 6-4, 6-4 victor at #3 while his classmate Thakkar earned a 6-3, 6-3 win at #4.

Rounding out singles play was freshman
Yifan Shen and junior
Jun Yuminaga who each won in straight sets. She was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at #5 while Yuminaga earned a 6-4, 6-0 win at the six spot. In doubles, UR's #3 team was
Ryan Zu and
Mattias Hartveit. That duo topped their Union counterparts by an 8-6 score.

The Yellowjackets will now head on spring break, training in Puerto Rico the week of March 12th.
