PETER LYMAN TENNIS CENTER: Visiting Hobart College won five of six singles and two of the three doubles events to post a 7-2 victory over the University of Rochester in a matchup of regionally-ranked men's tennis programs.

The Statesmen entered the match ranked number 15 in the region while the Yellowjackets stood at #18. Rochester concluded the regular-season portion of its schedule at 9-9. UR will head to Altamonte Springs, FL next week to play in the University Athletic Association championships. Hobart, which has a handful of Liberty League matches to play, is 8-4.

Rochester earned its points at #1 doubles and #6 singles.
Masaru Fujimaki and
Aaron Mevorach defeated Alan Dubrovsky and Jonah Salita, 8-7 (7-5). That evened the doubles score. HC's Danny Kot and Mike Rusk opened the match with an 8-2 victory over
Tanmay Thakkar and
Andrew Nunno at #2 doubles. Hobart carried a 2-1 lead into singles play after Harry Nichols and Jonathan Atwater edged
Sam Leeman and
Mattias Hartveit, 8-6, at #3.

The visitors stretched the lead to 4-1 with Dubrovsky defeating Leeman, 6-3, 7-5 at #2 and Rusk toping Mevorach by the identical score (6-3, 7-5) at #5. Thakkar won his point at #6 (6-4, 6-3 over Kot) to pull Rochester within 4-2.

Nichols won the crucial fifth team point with a 6-1, 6-4 win over
Jun Yuminaga at #4. Salita downed Nunno, 6-3, 6-2, at #3, and Atwater completed the match with a 7-5, 6-2 win against Fujimaki at #1.
