GENESEO, N.Y. – The men's outdoor track & field team had four men finish in eighth place or higher in running events at the SUNY Geneseo Early Season Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

In the 400 meters,
Gabe Lundy was second in :49.26 and qualified for the Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships scheduled for mid-May in Bethlehem, PA.
Mitch Lienert was fourth in the same race (:50.29).
John Moyer produced a time of 1:00.04 in the 400 hurdles to finish fourth.

Manny Eribo had a pair of top eight finishes. He was sixth in the 100 meters (:11.48) with
Frederick Liu 12
th (:11.68). Eribo was eighth in the 200 meters (:23.41), closely pursued by
Gabe Thyne (:23.47, ninth) and
Kyle Lane (:23.52, 10
th).
Christian Voloshen was 10
th in the 800 (1:59.52).
Max Hughes was UR's top finisher in the 1,500 (4:07.33, 16
th overall).

Among the field event performers,
Brennan Hong won the pole vault (4.10 m.) and
James Schmidt was third (3.95 m.).
James O'Neill finished eighth in the shot put (13.29 m.) and seventh in the discus throw (42.11 m.). Rochester had five men place between eighth and 13
th in the shot put: O'Neill,
Dylan Rykert (13.02 m., ninth),
Ryan Swavely (10
th, 12.72 m),
Jordan Johnson (12
th 12:25 m.), and
Kevin Fobare (13
th, 11.98 m.). Johnson was 12
th in the discus throw (36.32 m.) behind O'Neill's seventh place finish. Liu cleared 1.68 m. in the high jump to finish 12
th.
Kyle Lane was seventh in the long jump (6.38 m.).
On Monday, the hammer throw was contested, with three Yellowjackets placing in the top-10.
Nolan Ragland was sixth (47.47 m.), with Swavely placing eighth (45.59 m.) and Johnson ninth (45.19 m.).
