HENRIETTA, NY – Rochester's first foray into the outdoor track and field season produced a number of strong performances. UR joined host RIT and Union College for the meet which provided times and distances for events, but no team scoring.

The Yellowjackets dominated the field events, taking first place in six of eight events. First-year
Kyle Lane was a double winner in the horizontal jumps. He cleared 6.67 m (21'10 ¾") in the long jump and 13.00 m (42'8") in the triple jump.
Terry Cook was second in the long jump (6.49 m – 21'3 ½").

James O'Neill was first in the shot put (13.24 m 43' 5 ¼"), second in the discus (36.97 m – 121'3") and the javelin (4.82 m – 153'7").
Aidan Kropiwnicki won the javelin (47.74 m – 156'7") with
Angus Fuori third (45.72 m – 150'0").
Nolan Ragland was third in the discus (36.94 m – 121'2") and second in the hammer (45.64 m – 149'9").

Swavely won the hammer.
Ryan Swavely won the hammer (53.42 m 175'3").
Andres Garcia Coleto ws first in the high jump (1.85 m – 6' ¾"). He also ran on Rochester's wining 4x400 relay team with
Gabe Lundy,
Daniel Ford, and
Mitch Lienert. They were timed in 3:26.69.

Rochester took all eight places in the javelin. The Yellowjackets dominated like that with two running events as well: the top eight finishers in the 1,500Â and all four competitors in the 400 hurdles.

Lundy and Ford, who both ran on the 4x400 relay won individual events. Ford won the 1,500 (4:09.14) with
Max Hughes second (4:12.60). Lundy was clocked in :54.63 to win the 400 hurdles.
Garrett Dietrich was second (1:00.48).

The Yellowjacket runners had a handful of runnerup performances. The 4x100 relay was second (:45.06) with
Steven Li,
Nan Xie, Joshua Agyarko Jr. and
Frederick Liu.
Peter Brodnik was second in the 110 high hurdles (:16.46). Jared Forer was second in the 100 meteres (:11.62) and Agyarko was third (:11.65).
Alec Glazier was second in the 800 (2:04.82).

In the 200, Brodnik was second (:23.92), Agyarko third (:23.98), and Liu fourth (:24.07).
Scott Sikorski was third in the 3,000 (8:57.34).

Rochester is home next Saturday to host Ithaca and RIT in the Yellowjacket Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start at 12 noon.
